I’m a freelance writer and editor based in Oxford, within easy reach of London. I write about all sorts of topics, including design and the creative industries (graphic design, illustration, typography, advertising), film, TV, music, career and employment issues, money, health, food and more.
My work has been published by The Guardian, Independent, Psychologies, Computer Arts, SFX, Virgin Media, Film4, TheSite and many more.
Recent work includes articles about simple logos and reinventing yourself for Computer Arts, interviewing Penguin’s creative director for Ideas Tap, and writing about food allergies and homespun cold cures for Observer Word of Mouth, happy employees and corporate social responsibility for The Guardian, and music therapy for The Musician.
I’m also an experienced sub and production editor. I have freelanced in-house for The Guardian, Sunday Times, Jewish Chronicle, Sticky Content and more, and can undertake production work remotely.
